Hadrian's Wall Country Bus
The Hadrian's Wall Country Bus service is back in 2012! The service runs from Good Friday 6th April 2012 until the end of October 2012. It travels from Carlisle to Hexham calling at various villages, museums and Roman Forts along the way. Alba Travel operates two modern Optare Solo SR buses from Carlisle to Hexham. These vehicles are DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliant with low floor access for ease of use by wheelchair and pushchair users. The service was very successful in 2010 and was chosen as being among the top five countryside bus services in the country by the UK Bus Awards - the top bus industry accolades.
